In the third period, the Reivers opened the scoring a third time with a goal at 18:58 (Baptiste, Rolland, Fontaine). Given the incredible effort of both teams, it looked as though the rest of the period might be scoreless with goaltenders shutting down chances on both nets. Then the Reivers Baptiste, on a quick pass from Hinds, found the net, earning a hat-trick and a commanding 5-2 lead for her team. With six minutes left on the clock, a Lions comeback seemed unlikely, but determined to win, the Lions turned up the heat - drawing two penalties at 3:13 - and it was a new game. The Lions pulled the goalie for a six on three rush finding the back of the net at 2:10 (Deck, Cyrenne, Leonard); score Reivers 5-3. Still on the power play, the Lions rushed the net again, drawing a third Reivers penalty and a second power play goal at 1:05 (Sawyer, Deck, Cyrenne).
