Congratulations to Sanford Sabres’ Kendall Manness. Throughout the three game Championship series, this rookie defensive player stood out amongst a team of all-stars. Kendall consistently helped minimize the Glenlawn Lions scoring chances and had numerous ice rushes of her own. In the final deciding game, Kendall scored a goal and two assists, for three points in the Sabres hard fought 4-0 victory. During the regular season, Kendall scored 9 goals and 9 assists for 18 points.

Congratulations Glenlawn Lions Emily Deck. Emily had an outstanding month of play. First, she finished off regular season scoring her team’s only goal in a 6-1 loss to the Miles Mac Buckeyes, followed by scoring 4 goals in a 7-2 victory over the Kildonan Reivers. In the playoff series vs. the West Kildonan Wolverines, Emily scored 2 goals in game one to secure a narrow 4-3 victory and another goal in the thrilling 3-2 game and series win.
