Ending December 6, 2024

Division 1: Cali Lavallee, WKC Wolverines, Forward #9

Cali had a productive week starting Monday in a 7-4 loss to the Warren Wildcats. Despite the outcome she worked hard and kept her teammates in the game. Offensively she scored 2 goals and added a power play assist after overpowering the Wildcat penalty kill by coming out of the corner to send her teammates in alone for an easy powerplay goal. In their game against the powerhouse Glenlawn Lions on Friday, she scored another 2 goals and was by far the most dominate player on the ice in the Wolverines 4-2 win. Every time Cali had the puck, no matter where it was, the play ended with a scoring chance for the Wolverines. Congratulations Cali!

Division 2: Ella Speechley, John Taylor Pipers, Forward #4

Ella got the big hat-trick in their 4-1 win over the Sanford Sabres on Wednesday, handing them their first loss of the season. She was all over the ice and continued to dominate the play for her team. Although the Westwood Warriors came out strong the next day and beat the Pipers by a score of 7-3, she didn’t stop skating. She was all over the ice helping her team get in position to score. She never gave up and worked hard right to the end of the game. Congratulations Ella!

Division 3: Elizabeth Pirie, Dakota Lancers, Goalie #33

When the goalie gets hot the wins grow larger and Elizabeth has made the Lancers wins grow. She was brilliant in their 1-0 win over the Springfield Sabres. She stopped all 27 shots faced during three periods plus overtime and then stopped 9 consecutive Springfield shooters in the shootout. A spectacular performance! Elizabeth continued her performance by stopping all 30 shots from Murdoch for another shut out. She made two outstanding saves followed by a nice tip save in the third period and flashed the leather a few times ending with a 3-0 win for the Lancers.
