Division 1: Payton Durand, CJS Olympiens, Forward #25

Payton was a force to be reckoned with on Tuesday. She had what could be described as an example of the strongest forechecking this season. Not once but twice she pressured a Churchill Bulldog defence to the point of coughing up the puck and allowing her to go in alone on the Bulldogs goalie. Both times she found the back of the net leading to a hat trick before the end of the 2nd period. A strong game by a strong player who never stopped moving on the ice to help her teammates win the game by a score of 7-3. Congratulations Payton!

Division 2: Ella Harkness, PCI Saints, Forward #3

PCI Saints ended the season with two big wins and Ella was a huge part of it. In a thrilling game against the CSLR Renards on Monday, she generated several scoring opportunities throughout the game. She worked hard in the defending and neutral zone to contribute to adding her side’s defensive efforts and had an assist in their 2-1 win. On Thursday, Ella opened the scoring late in the first and scored the winning goal with less than a minute left in the game in an exciting, nail biter 4-3 win over the Garden City Gophers. Ella also leads her team in points going in to playoffs. Congratulations Ella!

Division 3: Alexis Campbell, Springfield Sabres, Forward #4

Alexis ended the regular season on a strong note. On Monday she drove the zone hard and utilized her strong wrist shot against the Kelvin Clippers in a 3-0 win. She opened the gates in the first period by finding the back of the net with a great shot and added an assist on the 3rd goal by winning the draw clean and put it directly on her wingers stick. The next day she continued her successes against the Beausejour Barons by scoring a goal and helping her team to a 4-1 win. Alexis is also leading her team in points with 10 goals and 8 assists for 18 points on the season. Congratulations Alexis!
