Congratulations St. Mary’s Flames Nicole Howorth for her outstanding performance in her team’s semi-final playoff series this week against the relentless CJS Olympiens. In game one, Nicole started the offensive rush for an assist in the Flames 2-1 win, and then scored a goal in the second period of game three contributing to the Flames 3-0 game three and series win.

Congratulations Sanford Sabres Melayna Drozd, who was a one skater wrecking machine in her team’s semi-final playoff series against the second ranked SJR Eagles. Melayna scored 5 goals in a 6-1 game one win, and another unassisted goal in a thrilling 2-1 victory clinching the series win.

Congratulations Dakota Lancers Sonya Neale, a power forward who was on fire this week earning 10 points in their 3 game playoff series against the defending champion VMC Trojans. In game one, Sonya scored 2 goals and added an assist in the Lancers 5-2 win, and then in game two, scored another goal in a hard fought 3-2 overtime loss. In the deciding game three, Sonya’s dominating offensive play earned her 3 goals and 3 assists for the Lancers 6-3 series win.

Congratulations Sanford Sabres Hayley Shirtliff who played a solid series both offensively and defensively against the Springfield Sabres during the division Quarter Finals this week. Hayley’s hard work paid off in a big way, as she scored the winning goal in a thrilling 2-1 game three victory for the series win, advancing her team to the semi-finals next week.
CTV Division 1:
Congratulations VMC Trojans Anna Brownridge who began the Championship playoffs as a force to be reckoned with. On Monday, Anna assisted 2 goals in the Trojans thrilling 4-3 win against the Kelvin Clippers. On Tuesday, she turned up the heat, banging in 4 goals to secure a 6-0 game two series win. Anna worked hard every shift during the series and added the spark her fellow Trojans needed to push them toward the Quarter Final round.

Congratulations Westwood Warriors Heaven Moneyas for her exceptional goaltending during this week’s Quarter Final playoff series. The eighth ranked Warriors fought hard to defeat the first ranked Beliveau Barracudas, and none harder than their goaltender. Heaven stopped an incredible 52 of 54 shots during their game one 2-0 loss, and then stopped another 43 shots in regulation time keeping the game scoreless before letting in the overtime winner. A truly remarkable performance!

Congratulations Oak Park Raiders Ashley Seitz who has had a terrific season. This week against the scrappy FRC Centurions, Ashley flew down the ice time and again, coming to her team’s rescue, fending off attackers and scoring a hat trick for a 3-2 victory. Ashley is the Raiders leading scorer with 21 points at the close of regular season.

Congratulations CSLR Renards Sophie Maitre who put everything she had into 2 games played this week. Sophie had a goal and 3 assists in the Renards’ 7-0 victory over the JH Bruns Broncos on Monday, and in their last league game Wednesday, she scored another goal in their 5-1 win over the Beliveau Barracudas. Sophie is one of the Renards’ top scorers with 17 points this season.

Her constant coverage on the ice and an assist helped her team beat the Kelvin Clippers 5-1 on Monday, and then Friday, Haley scored 2 goals to propel her team to a 5-3 victory over the VMC Trojans. Haley is the Flames third highest scorer with 25 points this season.

Congratulations Springfield Sabres Colleen Early who plays every game as if it is her last game, hard and fast! In a very tight game against the CSLR Renards, Colleen scored 1 goal and added an assist and was the catalyst her team needed. Colleen is the Sabres leading scorer with 25 points this season.

Congratulations PCI Saints Paige Shwaluk who had the magic touch this week, scoring 4 goals and 1 assist to help her team beat the Kelvin Clippers 7-2 on Monday plus another goal on Friday in a tight 3-2 SOL against the VMC Trojans. Paige is the Saints leading scorer going into playoffs with 27 points.

Congratulations to JH Bruns Broncos Erin Nero whose stellar offensive play helped her team beat the Westwood Warriors 3-1 this week by scoring 2 goals and adding an assist. Erin started hard and never stopped working until the final second ticked off the clock. Erin is the Broncos leading scorer with 23 points.

Jenna ranks as the Barracudas second point scorer with 19 points this season.

Congratulations to River East Kodiaks Emily Koop, a talented forward, who helped her team beat the Oak Park Raiders 5-1 by scoring a hat trick and creating other scoring opportunities. Emily is the Kodiaks lead scorer with 17 points for the season.

Congratulations to CSLR Renards Kara Jeffrey who helped her team to two victories this week, scoring two goals in a tight 3-2 win over the Springfield Sabres on Tuesday, and another 2 goals in their 5-1 win over the JH Bruns Broncos on Wednesday. Congratulations Selkirk Royals Cienna Palmer who helped her team claim two victories this week. On Thursday, Cienna turned her jests on, scoring 2 goals and an assist in her team’s 4-1 win over the Oak Park Raiders, and Friday, she scored another goal and an assist in another 4-1 win over the VMC Trojans. Cienna is the Royals’ leading scorer with a total of 24 points (14 goals, 10 assists), third highest point scorer in her division and fifth overall for the League.

Congratulations Garden City Gophers Rhea Alves for her outstanding goaltending this week. On Wednesday, Rhea stopped 33 of 35 shots in the Gophers’ heartbreaking overtime 2-1 loss against the CSLR Renards, and then held her ground on Friday, stopping 23 of 26 shots and leading her team to a commanding 7-3 victory over the JH Bruns Broncos.

Congratulations CSHC Huskies Rachel Gottfried who led her team in points this week, contributing to two big victories. On Monday, Rachel scored two goals and added two assists in the Huskies 6-1 win over the Kelvin Clippers; and on Tuesday, she scored another goal and added an assist in her team’s tight 4-3 victory over the St. Mary’s Flames. Rachel finished the week as the Huskies top scorer with 9 goals, 7 assists and a total of 16 points.

Erin finished the week as her team’s leading goal scorer with 9 goals in 13 games played.

Jenny’s 5-point week jumped her into the top 5 Flames’ point scorers, with a total of 11 points this season.

Congratulations SJR Eagles Paige Roddy whose stellar performance this week helped her team take first place in the standings, with a one-point lead over the Beliveau Barracudas. On Tuesday, Paige scored 2 goals in the Eagles 4-0 win over the Springfield Sabres, and then three days later, scored the game ending power play goal in their 5-0 win over the Sanford Sabres. Paige is one of the Eagles’ top scorers with 16 points this season.

Congratulations FRC Centurions Autumn Agar, a stellar defensive player who scored a goal and an assist to help her team defeat the Miles Mac Buckeyes 5-1 on Thursday. Autumn’s work ethic and positive attitude was an inspiration to her teammates this week. Autumn has 4 points for the season.

Martina had an outstanding week, scoring 3 goals and an assist to help her team defeat the VMC Trojans 5-4 on Wednesday, and then she scored the only goal in a heart-breaking overtime loss Friday against the River East Kodiaks. Martina is currently the Clippers leading scorer with 12 points.

Alyssa is currently the Gopher’s leading scorer with 10 points.

Congratulations VMC Trojans Allison Canvin, a stand out defensive player, whose controlled play this week led her team to a stunning 6-2 performance over the CSHC Huskies on Wednesday, and to a nail biting 2-1 victory over the River East Kodiaks on Friday, where she also potted an assist.
