What is she doing today?

Mariella is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts at the Saint-Boniface University. She is currently maintaining a 4.3 GPA with a goal of attending law school post BA.  She has taken on the role of head coach of the CSLR girls hockey team and was an assistant coach for grade 7 female volleyball team at Ecole Lacerte.

Mariella’s Experience:

“High School Hockey was one of the highlights of my high school experience. The memories and friendships made over those 3 years will always be cherished. High School Hockey was a way for me to balance academics, work, and other sports without needing to sacrifice competitive hockey. Although we reached the B division championship twice, my favorite memories are being with the team in the dressing room and bus rides.”

Mariella’s Memory:

“One of my most memorable stories is during the 2017-2018 season playoffs. In the semi finals, we played our ''rivals'' the Beliveau Barracudas. I remember it being some of the most intense hockey I had ever been a part of. CSLR being a smaller school I wasn't expecting a very big crowd. However, in those three games, we had one of the biggest crowds I've seen come to a girl’s hockey game. Having our school's support gave us that extra push to be able to win the championship that season."
