Ending January 19, 2024

Division 1: Serena Reeb, Selkirk Royals, Forward #10

Serena led her team to a 5-4 victory on Friday vs the VMC Trojans. She played a strong 200-foot game and is described as a firecracker of a player. She scored the game winner midway through the third period along with another goal and an assist. On the season Serena has 6 goals and 5 assists for a total of 11 points in 18 games played for the Royals this season. Congratulations Serena!

Division 2: Mackenzie Worden, Garden City Gophers, Goalie #1

Mackenzie had two blistering performances this week. Starting off strong on Thursday against the Oak Park Raiders, she stopped 22 of 25 shots in regulation as well as stopping 3 of the 4 shoot out attempts leading to a 4-3 victory for the Gophers. The next day she was nothing short of spectacular stopping 35 of 36 shots that came her way for a .972 save percentage against the Lorette Scorpions. Her best period was the third where she made 2/3’s of her saves in the game stopping 22 shots earning her team a 2-1 win. Congratulations Mackenzie!

Division 3: Lexi Taylor, CPET Canadiennes, Defence #12

Lexi had a massive two games leading her team to a 1-1 record. She opened the week on Monday by putting up 5 points in a 5-2 win over the Kelvin Clippers. She opened the scoring early in the first where she scored 2 of her 3 goals in the game. She was also able to help her teammates get on the score sheet as she added two helpers. On Friday, Lexi added an additional goal in her team’s 3-2 loss to the Dakota Lancers. For the season she has averaged 1.65 points per game and has accumulated 7 goals and 21 assists for 28 points. Congratulations Lexi!
