Ending February 10, 2023

Feb. 16, 2023

Congratulations to the Players of the Week ending December 9, 2022. You can also view the Players of the Week Archive.

For the week ending February 10, 2023

Division 1: Peyton Mages, St. Mary’s Flames, Forward #9

Peyton helped her team with a 4-3 win against the Churchill Bulldogs on Tuesday. She popped in 2 goals while also playing very strong hockey away from the puck. Her game winning tally was nothing short of spectacular as she took the puck in her defensive zone and moved methodically down the ice to score the winner with less than 3 minutes remaining in the game. The next day she helped her team beat the stubborn Miles Mac Buckeyes in a shootout win of 3-2 by controlling the puck throughout the game and even scoring one in the shootout. Congratulations Peyton!

Division 2: Hailey Dunn, WKC Wolverines, Forward #4

Hailey may not have scored any goals in her team’s 4-2 win over the SJR Eagles on Tuesday, but she was all over the ice. She played great hockey both ways, controlling the puck and skating back hard to help prevent goals. The next day Hailey was busy as she scored 2 goals and added an assist including the game winning goal with 15 seconds left in the game. She battled hard for loose pucks and did not give up in front of the net leading to a 3-2 win against the Beliveau Barracudas. Congratulations Hailey!

Division 3: Dylan Chudzy, Springfield Sabres, Defence #9

Dylan ended the regular season playing an important role in 2 hard earned wins for the Sabres. On Tuesday, she broke up plays in both ends against a hard working CPET Cannadiennes team earning herself a goal and a 3-2 win for the Sabres. She worked hard from the drop of the puck to the final whistle. The next day she was at it again as she scored another goal in their 4-1 win over the PCI Saints, who put up a tough battle. Congratulations Dylan!
