ending December 3, 2021

Dec. 06, 2021

Congratulations to this week's Players of the Week!

Week ending - December 3, 2021

CTV Division 1: Maisie Duffin, Beliveau Barracudas, Forward #17

Beliveau Barracudas’ Maisie Duffin, a dominating forward, led her squad offensively in their game against Miles Mac Buckeyes on Wednesday, and she was rewarded with the game's opening goal and an assist in their 4-2 victory.  All game long Maisie had the Buckeyes defence wondering where she was on the ice. Her play making and her goal scoring ability make her a threat when she steps on to the ice. Maisie has 9 points for the season.  Congratulations Maisie!

Winnipeg Free Press Division 2:  Emily Kay, CPET Canadiennes, Goalie #31

CPET Canadiennes’ Emily Kay stopped 26 of 29 quality shots in their thrilling over time 3-2 loss to the Sanford Sabres on Tuesday. With her team badly out shot, Emily kept her team in the game forcing overtime.  During Friday’s game against the SJR Eagles, Emily stopped all 33 shots in regulation and over time, along with 3 shots in the shoot out, forcing a rare 0-0 tie game score.  Congratulations Emily!

Hire Marketing Division 3: Jordyn Szwaluk, Westwood Warriors, Defence #10

Westwood Warriors’ Jordyn Szwaluk played strong in her defensive zone during Friday’s game against the Glenlawn Lions.  She made several good first passes creating breakout situations for her teammates.   Jordyn scored on a blazer of a shot from the point to defeat the determined Lions 3-2.  Jordyn has 7 points for the season. Congratulations Jordyn!
