Division 1/2 - East: Hailey Cusitar, Lorette Scorpions, Forward #4

Hailey had an outstanding week with the Scorpions starting with their game on Monday against the CPET Canadiennes. She showcased her hand-eye coordination by scoring a goal from mid air on a rebound to tie up the game. She skated incredibly well and showed her hustle all throughout the game helping her team earn the 3-2 victory. On Thursday, the Scorpions faced the Dakota Lancers where Hailey again displayed why she is the hardest working player on the ice. She was able to win 90% of the battles she entered and resulted in a hard fought 1-0 win. Congratulations Hailey!

Division 1/2 - West: Lyla Barnaby, Sturgeon Heights Huskies, Forward #14

Lyla was a top tier player on Tuesday against the Warren Wildcats. She earned 2 assists in their 4-0 win over the Wildcats, including one helper on a play where she made a jaw-dropping end to end rush and got a hard shot away on goal before the rebound was banged in by a teammate. Lyla had an extremely strong game and played hard for the entire contest. Congratulations Lyla!

Division 3: Tori Hogue, PCI Saints, Defence #19

Tori was an outstanding defensive player all week and led her team by example showing exactly why she is a great captain. On Monday, her ability to control the game resulted the Saints 3-2 win over the SJR Eagles. She was an all-around hard working player from start to finish, leading her team by example. On Wednesday against Murdoch MacKay, Tori played positionally great, taking numerous scoring chances away from Murdoch. She was a difference maker with the game remaining tied at the end of regulation time and all the way in to shootout where Murdoch eventually took the win 2-1. Congratulations Tori!
