Division 1: Bre-Ann Lucier Windross, Warren Wildcats, Forward #16

Bre-Ann was an integral part of her team’s success in their playoff series against the West Kildonan Wolverines this week. In game one of the series on Tuesday, she worked hard at both ends of the ice to help her team in their victory against the West K Wolverines. She skated hard and showed her skills as a leader resulting in a goal in their 6-1 win. She was unable to play in game two on Thursday, in which the Wildcats lost 3-2. However, game three was another nail biter in which she showed off her skills, netting a goal and adding an assist in the Wildcats 4-3 victory over the Wolverines to take the series. Congratulations Bre-Ann!

Division 2: Ashley Posthumas, River East Kodiaks, Forward #12

The River East Kodiaks put up a tremendous fight this week in their playoff series against the Garden City Gophers, led by their points leader Ashley. In game one against the Gophers on Tuesday, Ashley tied the game three different times, the last of which sent the game into overtime. She scored 4 goals in regular time however, the Kodiaks fell to the Gophers 5-4 in overtime. Ashley skated hard from the moment she stepped onto the ice: forechecking, back checking, fighting hard for the puck and working with her teammates. In their second game on Wednesday, she stood out with an impressive effort at both ends of the ice. Even in a 3-0 defeat, Ashley’s effort was undeniable. Congratulations Ashley!
