Division 1: Scarlett Tucker, VMC Trojans, Forward #9

Scarlett was instrumental in the VMC Trojans 3-1 win over the Warren Wildcats on Monday. She skated hard throughout the game and fought for the puck and usually came up with it. She never stopped working hard and she ended the game with two assists. The next day, in a thrilling 5-4 win against the Churchill Bulldogs, Scarlett continued to battle and netted the tying goal to take the game to OT. She time and time again came out with the puck, resulting in her adding an assist on the OT winning goal. Congratulations Scarlett!

Division 2: Rebecca Bennett, Lorette Scorpions, Forward #6

Rebecca was a standout all-around player who was relentless on Monday against the Westwood Warriors. She helped her team control the pace of the game for much of the contest and contributed with an assist in an exciting 2-0 win for the Scorpions. She didn’t stop there, she was on fire again against the JH Bruns Broncos on Wednesday. Her willingness to battle and work incredibly hard led directly to three goals for her team scoring as she scored 1 and added 2 assists in a 4-0 win over the Broncos. Congratulations Rebecca!

Division 3: Lily Hurley, Springfield Sabres, Forward #16

The Springfield Sabres ended the week winning two of three games and Lily came to play for all three. She popped an assist against Murdoch McKay and helped her team win the game by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. She stepped on the ice skating hard until the end of the game and her constant forechecking and back checking kept the visitors frustrated. Lily’s aggressive forechecking continued and smart positioning were key factors in there 2-0 victory over the SJR Eagles the next day. On Thursday, in a rematch against the Eagles, she was a standout throughout the game, constantly driving the play and creating opportunities leading to her scoring their only goal in a 3-1 loss. Congratulations Lily!
