Division 1: Sofia DiNicola, Shaftesbury Titans, Goalie #35

Sofia was solid between the pipes to start the new year as she back stopped the Shaftesbury Titans to a 2-1 victory on Tuesday against the Oak Park Raiders. She stopped 24 of 25 shots for a .960 save percentage. She earned her 6th win of the season while increasing her season save percentage to .887 and raising her goals against to 2.43. Congratulations Sofia!

Division 2: Mikalah Grant, Sanford Sabres, Forward #13

The Sanford Sabres started their post winter break with a big win over the River East Kodiak on Thursday led by their points leader Mikalah. She tied the game mid-way thru the first period to get her team back even after falling behind. She then concluded the scoring with another goal late in the third to seal the Sabres 6-3 victory. In-between her two goals she was all over the ice, winning several puck battles in the corners, creating scoring chances and getting the puck out of her own end. Congratulations Mikalah!

Division 3: Lauren Ingeberg, Beausejour Barons, Forward # 11

Lauren had two very strong games helping the Barons to a 1-1 record this week. On Thursday, the Barons leading scorer netted her 9th goal of the season with less than 90 seconds to go in regulation time for a 2-1 victory against the Springfield Sabres. The following day, she added two assists on the Barons two goals in a close game 3-2 loss to the Dakota Lancers. Congratulations Lauren!
